$1 Million Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity 2025
Nominations are now open for the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, a global award that recognizes those who risk their lives to save the lives of others. Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Foundation Inc. is a nonprofit organization that seeks to address on-the-ground humanitarian challenges around the world with a focus on helping the most needy. Its mission is rooted in Armenian history as the Initiative was founded on behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviors and strives to transform this experience into a global movement.

Submissions open for Direct Aid Small Grants Program (Papua New Guinea)
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is accepting submissions for the for Direct Aid Small Grants Program to support projects with a strong development focus that complement Australia’s broader aid program which contributes to sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction. DAP projects cover a range of sectors, including education, health, water and sanitation, environmental protection, women’s empowerment, and gender equality, supporting people with disabilities, economic livelihood, food security, human rights, cultural and sporting activities with a clear development benefit, and scientific research.

Nominations are now open for the FATE Model Entrepreneurship Advocate (FMEA) of the Year Award to celebrate and honour exceptional individuals and organizations within traditional and new media or academia, who intentionally and regularly advocate for and share insight, data, and perspectives focused on the Nigerian entrepreneurship ecosystem. This award category is thoughtfully designed to encompass a wide spectrum of contributors, including individuals, media outlets, and academic institutions/organizations, all of whom play a pivotal role in disseminating impactful stories through various media channels, be it print, digital platforms, or broadcast.

Are you a dynamic organization from Anglophone or Francophone Africa interested in advancing Reproductive Justice? Do you have innovative and bold ideas for litigating Reproductive justice in Africa? If so, this is your opportunity to apply for the African Reproductive Justice Litigation Fund. This Fund acknowledges the challenges these organizations face due to the intricate grant systems in today’s philanthropic environment. The Fund aims to overcome some of the contextual barriers that hinder public interest-focused litigants in the field of reproductive justice.

Call for Projects to Protect Cultural Heritage from Climate Change Impact in Africa
The ALIPH Foundation has launched a Call for Projects to Protect Cultural Heritage from the impact of climate change. This initiative, which prioritizes projects in Africa, will support practical and field-based projects to protect or rehabilitate cultural heritage. It will also finance capacity building for local professionals and promote applied research, including in areas that address the advancement and transfer of traditional knowledge.

USAID seeking Applications to implement the “Completing Secondary Education” Program (Malawi)
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the Kumaliza Maphunziro a Sekondale “Completing Secondary Education” Project. The overall goal of the Kumaliza Project is to increase graduation rates and skills for secondary school students attending the 105 CDSSs built with USG funding in rural areas.

USAID Acting on Climate Change Together Program – Zambia
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the USAID Acting on Climate Change Together Program. The goal of the Acting on Climate Change Together (ACCT) Activity is to reduce the adverse impacts of climate-related disasters on education for children, including children with disabilities (CwD). The activity will meaningfully engage communities, children, schools, and disabled person organizations and provide opportunities to collaboratively develop and implement disability-inclusive climate programs and approaches.

UN Women Call for Proposals for CSOs and Women’s Organizations in Mozambique
The UN Women is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals, which seeks to find strong civil society organization(s)/non-profit organization(s) that support programme implementation of the country office programme in Mozambique. The Call for Proposals seeks to find Responsible Partner(s) with innovative and high-impact approaches to ensure that women in Cabo Delgado lead and benefit from humanitarian relief and recovery efforts.

USAID integrated Delivery of Tuberculosis Service (iDOTS) Activity Program – Nigeria
The Agency for International Development has launched the USAID integrated Delivery of Tuberculosis Service (iDOTS) Activity Program to reach every person with TB, cure those in need of treatment, prevent new infections and progression to active disease, while scaling-up innovations in detection, care, and treatment, and fostering local ownership to sustain TB programs that contribute to integrated primary health care services and pandemic preparedness in supported states.
